Jacqueline and Teresa, two women dedicated to changing their community for the better, truly embody what it means to be a leader. Driven by their own recoveries, these motivated women formed the Latino Behavioral Health Services (LBHS), a group of community members touched by mental illness who tapped into the power of peer recovery and community support. Today, the LBHS illuminates the path to recovery for many residents through capacity building, self-empowerment, and collaboration.
